One item mentioned is our Walk For Freedom Thames Path Challenge 2015.
Taking place on 9th May, the walk will be around 25 miles in length starting from Wallingford and following the Thames Path back to Yeldall (using roadways from Sonning). There will also be a shorter option of approximately 12 miles starting around lunchtime from Pangbourne.
As well as being a good challenge, we are asking participants to try to raise from £400-500 in sponsorship for the Good Samaritan Bursary Fund to help enable more men to access the programme. In 2013, 39 participants raised over £20,000; last year 64 people raised nearly £28,000. Can you help us beat those totals this year?
If you might be interested in taking part (even if you are not yet sure), and would like to be kept up to date with the plans, please let me (Sue Hedger) know so that I can send you further information.
